We are excited to announce that Ryan J. Krupp, M.D., has joined our surgery team, specializing in orthopaedic sports medicine and complex shoulder reconstruction. Dr. Krupp is now seeing patients at our office, bringing shoulder expertise to Louisville Institute of Orthopaedics for the very first time.
Dr. Krupp earned his Doctor of Medicine from the University of Louisville School of Medicine and completed his fellowship in sports medicine and shoulder reconstruction at the Steadman Hawkins Clinic of the Carolinas. He performs a wide range of shoulder procedures, including complex shoulder reconstruction, rotator cuff repair, and more.
Being deeply committed to education and research, Dr. Krupp holds clinical faculty appointments at multiple regional universities and has trained orthopaedic residents, physician assistants, physical therapists, and athletic trainers. Additionally, he has an undergraduate degree in chemical engineering.
Dr. Krupp has served as a team physician for collegiate, professional, and endurance athletes, including Major League Baseball spring training programs and Ironman Louisville. He has received numerous honors, including multiple Louisville Magazine Top Doctor and Top Surgeon awards.
