Jason Hupp, PA-C, MS-PAS, is a board-certified physician assistant specializing in orthopaedic surgery with a focus on total joint replacement and sports medicine. He was part of the Norton Orthopedic Specialists team in Louisville, KY from 2014-2025, assisting in both clinic and operating room settings for primary and complex revision procedures involving the shoulder, hip, and knee.

Jason holds a Master of Science in Physician Assistant Studies from the University of Kentucky and a Master of Science in Sport Management from the University of Louisville. Before becoming a physician assistant, he spent more than a decade as a certified athletic trainer, working extensively with athletes and active-duty military personnel through the Department of Defense’s Bone and Joint Sports Medicine Institute at Naval Medical Center Portsmouth.

In addition to his clinical work, Jason has served as an instructor and speaker at professional symposia, including lectures on wound management and cadaver lab instruction for advanced shoulder anatomy. His background in sports medicine and orthopaedic rehabilitation gives him a comprehensive understanding of injury prevention, recovery, and long-term joint health.

Jason is certified by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA) and licensed by the Kentucky Board of Medical Licensure. He maintains active memberships with the American Academy of Physician Assistants and the Kentucky Academy of Physician Assistants.
